IMPORTANT CHURCH SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT – Beginning Monday, July 14, Pastor Ketcham will assume the vacancy pastorate at Saint John, Galva. Because of this our Sunday church service time will be changing. On Sunday August 3, the time of Divine Service HERE AT GRACE will change to 8:00am, with Sunday School and Bible class at 9:15am…Saturday evening Divine Service remains at 5:00pm.
PASTOR ON VACATION – Pastor will be on vacation July 16 – 30th.
INSTALLATION INVITE – St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia is excited to announce that Rev. Joseph Eggerman has accepted the Divine Call to be their new Pastor. You are invited to join them in celebration of this blessing form the Lord at Pastor Eggerman’s Installation Service. This event is scheduled for Sunday, July 13th at 4 PM at St. Paul’s. A welcome reception and meal will follow the service. Please RSVP by July 6 to Wayne Pingel by text or call at 712-260-0595. Pastor Eggerman and family are relocating to Iowa after his graduation from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis are excited to hjoin the community.
PARSONAGE ROOF – As you know the parsonage roof was damaged during the wind storm in April. It was decided to replace the entire roof. Quotes for the roof replacement have come in and it will be costing approximately $13,000. Insurance has paid $1200 after the $5000 deductible. Thrivent Choice dollars ($6500) will be used for about half of the cost but still more is needed. Please prayerfully consider helping with the cost of roof replacement. Checks should be made out to Grace Lutheran Church with roof repair written in the memo line. Thank you.

IDW NEWS – Dear Friends in Christ, PLEASE CONSIDER honoring Sue Light (Administrative Assistant at the IDW office for 46 years) as she retires the end of July. If you haven’t already given Sue a letter or card, I invite you to send Sue a note wishing her well in her retirement and thank her for her faithful service to our district. Sue has been instrumental in all the behind the scenes work to make sure all things go smoothly for workshops/conferences/convention in addition to all her other tasks she takes care of for Iowa West. She has been an outstanding servant. Her last day of work is July 31.
