Advent Services this year will be shared between St. John, SL, Zion, SL, and Grace, SL. Details to be announced soon.
CIRCLES OF GRACE BAKE SALE – The Circles of Grace are hosting a Pre-Christmas Bake and Candy Sale on December 12th and 13th. All members of Grace are invited to bring items. The cookies will be placed on trays to mix and match for a variety and will be sold by the dozen. We ask that the candies, breads, muffins, cakes, and cupcakes be pre-marked. Please bring items in either Friday morning or someone will be here Saturday morning and before service Saturday night and put in the conference room by the office. Items will be sold after Saturday night and Sunday morning services. The proceeds will go towards our annual donations to The Lutheran Hour, Good Shepherd Hour and other agencies. PRESCHOOL ANGEL PROGRAM – Grace Lutheran Preschool is in need of 2 angels for 2 children attending the preschool. The angel’s part is $25 a month ($225 for the year). The families pay the rest. Please call Anne at 712-730-2590 if you would be able to help these families. Thank you.
THE GOOD SHEPHERD HOUR – The Good Shepherd Hour has been broadcasting the Word of God throughout Northwest Iowa and beyond for over 70 years! If you wish to support this ministry there are forms on the table in the Narthex that can be filled out and sent in.
SAVING HY-VEE RECEIPTS – Once again Storm Lake Hy-Vee receipts can be saved and given to the Preschool as a fund raiser. They must be dated between October 1, 2026 and May 1, 2026. There is a collection box in the card room and under th calendar by the Preschool room. Monies raised are used for supplies and equipment.
PANCAKE SUPPER – St. John Lutheran Church (402 Lake Ave) in Storm Lake will host its annual Pancake Supper on Sunday, November 15th from 5:00 – 7:00 pm. Tickets are $6.00 and can be purchased in advance at the church office or at the door that evening (Kids 5 and under are free). As always, the menu will include our delicious pancakes, sausages, applesauce, and beverages. Proceeds will be given to the Swaddling Clothes program at St. John. Thank you for supporting our Pancake Supper and the Swaddling Clothes program!
ACH FORMS – ACH forms are available on the table in the Narthex if you are interested in having your offering automatically withdrawn from your account weekly or on the 1st Monday of the month. You can put your completed form in the church mailbox of Sandy Martin or Loren Pearson and contact us for any questions. Thank you!
