In joyful expectation of the resurrection to life eternal, we remember before the Lord, our departed family and friends who have gone before us in faith and all those who are in our hearts and minds this day.
THANK YOU – A big thank you to all who helped, donated to the auction and bake sale and attending the Fall Festival. A special thank you to Curt and Annette Stern for donating the turkey, Nathan Jensen, Nancy and Jose at Smokin’ Hereford for cooking the turkey, HyVee for butter donation, Walmart for $50 gift card toward groceries and Thrivent for $250 gift card used for groceries. Total amount collected was $5,485.50. It was fun working side by side with members of Grace.
PARSONAGE ROOF – The final bill was $13,265. $1760.82 is all that is left to have the roof repair completely paid for. Checks should be made out to Grace Lutheran Church with roof repair written in the memo line. Thank you. Finance Committee
SAVING HY-VEE RECEIPTS – Once again Hy-Vee receipts can be saved and given to the Preschool as a fund raiser. They must be dated between October 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026. There is a collection box in the card room and under the calendar by the Preschool room. Last year the Preschool received $130. The monies raised are used for supplies and equipment.
REMINDER – During Preschool hours 9 AM – 11:30 AM the doors to church will be locked for the safety of the children. If you need to come to the office during that time please call 732-5005.
CELEBRATING 100 YEARS – St. Paul Lutheran Church in Aurelia is celebrating 100 years of God’s Blessings on November 8th and 9th and you are invited to join them! Saturday, November 8 is the Centennial Banquet Dinner (tickets required) at 6 PM. $20 adults, $10 youth ages 6 – 12 and free under 5. 6:45 PM Doors open to the public for the Celebration Program and Silent Auction at 7 PM. All this is happening at the Aurelia Community Center. RSVP for the meal by November 3rd. Call 712-434-2331 to order tickets for the meal.
Sunday, November 9th at 2 PM there will be a special 100th Anniversary Worship Service and Fellowship time.
PANCAKE SUPPER – St. John, SL is hosting a Pancake Supper on November 16 from 5 – 7 PM. Tickets are $6, Children 5 and under – Free. They will be serving Pancakes, Sausages, Applesauce, and Beverages. Proceeds will be given to The Swaddling Clothes Program at St. John.

FAMILY IN NEED – There is a Storm Lake School Headstart family in need. They will be getting their own home in November and are in need of plates, bowls, silverware, blankets, pots and pans, couch, 2 or 3 dressers, hangers for clothing, TV, TV stand, kitchen table and chairs, toddler bed with bedding, clothing for a 4T boy, 2T girl, 12 month old girl.
