Building Healthy Families: Psst…have you ever noticed how nearly impossible it is to tune out a whispered conversation nearby? Kids certainly can’t. Parents, you can actually use that to your advantage—by letting them “accidentally” overhear the things you most want them to learn. When they catch you speaking warmly about your spouse, it quietly builds their sense of security at home. When they overhear you saying good things about their teacher, it shapes how they show respect and cooperation at school. And when they hear you expressing genuine appreciation for your pastor, it naturally nurtures their respect for him as well. Those little, overheard moments? They often speak louder than a message communicated directly! www.LutheranFamilyService.org Lutheran Family Service
